Doctoral Study

Since 2000 the Institute participates in the education of doctoral students in the frame of ‘Doctoral Study of Natural Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kraków’ (DSNS PAS). The studies are conducted by the W. Szafer Institute of Botany of Polish Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Systematics and Evolution of Animals of Polish Academy of Sciences. Additionally, the Institute of Nature Conservation Polish Academy of Sciences participates in the education of doctoral students.
The principles of operation, as well as the rights and obligations of the doctoral student can be found in the enclosed Regulations. According to the Act of 3 July 2018, The Law on Higher Education and Science, since academic year 2019/2020 the function of DSNS PAS has been taken over by the Doctoral School of Natural and Agricultural Sciences. On December 31, 2023, DSNS PAS will be closed. Doctoral students of DSNS PAS will complete their education in the current mode.
