Practical skills: 

  • Chromatographic analysis of wax and fatty acid fractions (GC-FID) 
  • Spectrophotometric analyses of soluble sugars, phenolic compounds, proline, photosynthetic dyes, total pool of antioxidants and malondialdehyde
  • Establishemnt of cereal in vitro cultures
  • Basic cytogenetic analyses of roots and callus tissue
  • Performing physiological measurements (Handy PEA fluorimeter, SPAD 502 chlorphyllometer, AP4 porometer)
  • Data analysis in ImageJ, BioEdit, R

Teaching and popularization activities:

  • Laboratory workshops as part of the Franciszek Górski Institute of Plant Physiology PAS participatio in the 17th edition of the Science Festival in Cracow (2017),
  • Workshops for the elementary school students entitled "The Sisters of the Piarist Sisters". "DNA: The fingerprint that is inside your body". (2018),
  • Lecture for entitled: "DNA: The fingerprint that is inside your body - Learning about the practical use of DNA knowledge" (2018),
  •  Workshops for the elementary school students entitled: "Recognition of seeds and making microscopic preparations" (2018),
  • Workshops for the elementary school students on in vitro plant tissue cultures, learning to work under the laminar chamber and establishing the tissue culture of Begonia (2019),
  • Workshops for the elementary school students including getting acquainted with the work in the laboratory, preparation of microscopic slides, recognition of seeds and their analysis with a magnifying glass, learning the properties of liquid nitrogen and making tomatoes and basil seedlings (2019),
  • Workshops for the secondary school students entitled "Science in glass: theory and practice of modern plant physiology."(2019)
