RESEARCH AREAS

Somatic embryogenesis and organogenesis of monocots.

Determination of factors inducing androgenesis in oat anther cultures.

Production of cereals doubled haploid.

Characteristics of the OMA (Oat × Maize Addition) line.

The role of growth regulators in the process of differentiation of plant cells in vitro.

METHODS USED

In vitro cultures: micropropagation of bulbous plants (somatic embryogenesis and organogenesis), culture of cereals’ embryos.

Androgenesis and wide crossing of cereals.

Spectrometric analysis of phenolic compounds, carbohydrates and antioxidant enzymes.

Histology of plant tissues.

Flow cytometry – determination of nuclear DNA content in plant cells.

Member of organizing committee of Scientific Conferences “Application of  in vitro cultures in plant physiology” (since 2008)
